Last week we were sent photographs from the headteacher Mrs Joshee at our KM Johny Primary School in Tamil Nadu, funded by staff from BSkyB in the UK and India. The photos show the children, staff and their parents all receiving sight tests, funded locally. This will no doubt improve their lives and education considerably! It is so great to see this wonderful school for Dalit ('untouchable') children going from strength to strength.
Passport for Education
Thank you to Diane Audras and her young team of volunteers who have set up Passport for Education - a charity which helps support poor children in their education.
Having Fun Against All Odds
We're so proud of all our friends with special needs and their carers at our Peoples Action Group for Inclusion and Rights Centre in Ladakh. As the temperature is currently minus 20 degrees, it's very easy to make an ice rink as you can see in this photograph of them having fun playing ice hockey! Amazing!
