Thanks to a generous donation of £15,000 from Gebr. Heinemann and Estée Lauder, we are excited to announce that the much needed Dining Room, Kitchen, Toilets and Washing Facilities at Nalanda Primary School in Ladakh are now complete and look amazing. Most importantly, the teachers and children are delighted with the results!
A large workshop for the recycling machine, along with a warehouse for materials, are now completed at PAGIR - the People’s Action Group for Inclusion and Rights. A pioneer project which Lotus Flower Trust is so proud to have raised funds for, PAGIR is run by a community of people with various physical and mental special needs in Ladakh…
Two teams of boys from Winchester College are to be congratulated on the completion of the residential accommodation at Lamdon Jamyang School in Khalste, Ladakh. The new block enables 60 of the 300 children who attend, to stay on site, instead of travelling up to two hours each way by foot or bus in order to come to school, dramatically improving their education.
We're so proud of all our friends with special needs and their carers at our Peoples Action Group for Inclusion and Rights Centre in Ladakh. As the temperature is currently minus 20 degrees, it's very easy to make an ice rink as you can see in this photograph of them having fun playing ice hockey! Amazing!
