Lotus Flower Trust is proud to present the latest construction progress on three of our major projects:
The Residential Hostel at PAGIR Centre for Special Needs in Ladakh
The Boys Home at JSR Residential School for Special Needs in Ramnagar &
The Extension at the Montessori School in Pant Nagar
Despite the children and adults being unable to attend these facilities during the Coronavirus restrictions, local builders have been working at full speed in order for these much-needed extensions to reach completion. By the time the restrictions are lifted, each project will be ready to accommodate the ever-expanding intakes to these hugely successful facilities funded by Lotus Flower Trust.
At PAGIR (People’s Action Group for Inclusion and Rights), there will be a shiny new hostel so that its users and their families from the special needs community of Ladakh will have somewhere to stay on site.
At JSR, the new Boys Home will mean that the children can safely sleep in separate accommodation according to Government guidelines.
At the Montessori School, the second floor extension, washrooms and new staff buildings will provide crucial extra space for the growing numbers of children desperate to attend this amazing school.
We extend special thanks to the builders employed locally to carry out the labour, as well as to Rigzin Namgail and Sandeep Rawat for overseeing the work. And of course without the generous support of our funders, the boys of Winchester College, Delhi Duty Free and TFWA Care, Lotus Flower Trust could never have made this wonderful work happen.
