This wonderful school in Ladakh is so important as the quality of English provision in this region is otherwise very poor, denying young people the opportunity of getting good jobs serving the growing tourism market in Ladakh and the rest of India. Places on courses here are promoted to schools and colleges across the whole of Ladakh.

In its first year 145 students studied here and since then more than 1,000, boys and girls aged between 16-30, have successfully completed courses. The response has been so great that in 2016 the Trust completed a second floor to accommodate up to 80 students. The feedback we receive from the students is extremely positive, many of whom have gone on to gain employment in social work, the Ladakh Scouts and engineering.

Teachers Needed

We are considering options to enable us to keep the school open all year round. The biggest problem is finding teachers. Would you be interested in teaching in Ladakh for a few months? Please Contact Us and we will put you in touch with the school.
